This is the last post from the Whitsundays. Well, I’ll publish another post with some things you need to know, if you’re planning to travel to the Whitsundays, but this one is the last one shot on one of the 74 “Island Wonders”: The Whitsunday Island. We tried to see as much as possible during our time in Airlie Beach and I think we did pretty well. We’ve seen three islands of the 74 and I’m not sure how many you can actually visit. Maybe Hamilton Island, Whitsunday Island and Daydream Island are the only ones or maybe they’re just the most famous islands of the Whitsundays. At least they were the only ones we were able to visit. I enjoyed our time on Hamilton Island and Daydream Island, but our daytrip to the Whitsunday Island was my favourite! This island was the most amazing, most beautiful and most untouched island. Well, to be honest, I haven’t seen a lof of this island: we dropped the anchor at Tongue Bay, walked to the Hill Inlet Lookout as well as to the Whitehaven Beach. But I’ve seen enough to say that this island is just plain beautiful!

Whitehaven Beach – the most beautiful beach I’ve ever seen

The Whitehaven Beach was the reason why Hamilton Island or Airlie Beach were on our bucket list for Australia. We’ve seen a lot of pictures of this beautiful beach and if you’ve seen them as well, you’ll understand why we HAD to visit the Whitehaven Beach.

The Whitehaven Beach is located in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef and is the most photographed beach in Australia. Why? Probably because of the crystal clear waters and the more than seven kilometers pure white sand. What I like best is the fact that Whitehaven Beach is part of a national park. It’s an untouched beach on an unsettled island. Definitely a MUST SEE! 🙂

Ah cool, viel Spaß! Die Touren sind leider sehr touristisch und man hat nicht viel Zeit am Whitehaven Beach selber, aber ist schon schön zu sehen! :)
