Dress over Jeans

As you might know, I love trying new styles, that’s why I tried the dress over jeans (pants) trend the other day. It’s a great way to wear your dresses during the fall and winter season when you don’t want to wear tights! 🙂

But it isn’t that easy to combine a dress and jeans. Short dresses work best for this kind of looks and you should aways add healed shoes to visually elongate your legs. Wearing flats, sneakers or similar shoes would make the whole outfit look too bulky. In addition, I would suggest to wear a garment that is longer than the dress above – this can be a great layering tool for cold winter days 😉

Enough about the dress over jeans trend. I’m sure you want to know and see how I wore it, don’t you? I chose a short dress/ tunic and combined it with black jeans. As I already told you, it is always better to wear high heels instead of flats, so I decided to wear my healed boots from Buffalo – the most comfortable ones I have! 🙂 To finalize the outfit, I added a black cardigan and my cape aka scarf from Zara. I chose the cape instead of a coat, because I wanted to create a more relaxed outfit, an outfit you can wear on the weekend.

What do you think about this look? Have you tried to wear the dress over jeans trend so far?
